Kingston— In celebration of National Non-Smoking Week from January 15 to 21, 2017, KFL&A Public Health is encouraging local residents to quit smoking and to share their personal quitting smoking experiences in the #QuitStories campaign.

Kingston - KFL&A Public Health, in partnership with the provincial organization, Leave The Pack Behind, is offering young adults in Ontario between the ages of 18 and 29 a chance to win up to $5000 cash to quit smoking. There are additional cash prizes to be won for those who reduce their smoking or remain smoke-free. The contest titled, Wouldurather… is a 6-week program with a goal to reduce the high rates of smoking among young adults in Ontario.

Kingston– The sooner that a person is immunized against influenza, the sooner that she or he and vulnerable people around them are protected from this contagious and potentially dangerous illness. KFL&A Public Health recommends that all KFL&A area residents, not just the young and the elderly, get immunized as soon as possible.
