The KFL&A Board of Health functions under legal authority of the Health Protection and Promotion Act and is responsible for ensuring KFL&A Public Health meets the Ontario Public Health Standards: Requirements for Programs, Services and Accountability.
The board of health works to ensure that all residents of the KFL&A region have access to public health programs and services.
The board of health comprises municipal and community appointees. The current board of health has eight members:
