22nd Annual Jingle Bell Run, Walk or Wheel
Kingston – More than 16,000 students and staff from 53 schools in Kingston, Frontenac, and Lennox & Addington (KFL&A) will take part in the 22nd annual Jingle Bell Run, Walk or Wheel. Students will be donating a non-perishable food in exchange for a jingle bell and participating in a 1 km festive fit break where they will walk, run, wheel or skip around their school or community “with bells on”. This is a partnership between KFL&A Public Health, local school boards, and local food banks to help gather food donations for families in need.

Why:
Research shows that approximately two thirds of children and youth in Canada do not meet the physical activity recommendation within the Canadian 24-hour Movement Guidelines. To support health and well-being, all children and youth should be physically active on a regular basis. The Jingle Bell Run, Walk or Wheel encourages children and youth to be active while helping others in our community.
