KFL&A Public Health Property now Smoke-free and Vape-free
Kingston – KFL&A Public Health property, including all indoor and outdoor areas, and in vehicles on the property, are now smoke-free and vape-free. KFL&A Public Health is expanding its smoke-free workplace policy to include tobacco, cannabis, electronic cigarettes, and any similar product whose use generates smoke or vapour.
“Having a smoke- and vape-free property reflects our commitment to ensuring a healthy environment for our staff, volunteers, students, and visitors,” said Dr. Kieran Moore, Medical Officer of Health, KFL&A Public Health. “Tobacco use remains the leading cause of preventable disease and death in Canada. There is no safe level of tobacco use or exposure to second-hand smoke.”
