Kingston Transit Rider Confirmed Positive for COVID-19
Kingston— Today, Dr. Kieran Moore, Medical Officer of Health at KFL&A Public Health confirms a COVID-19 positive case travelled on Kingston Transit Bus Route 502 and 4.
- March 21: Route 502 leaving Cataraqui Centre transfer point at 1:25 p.m., arriving at King Street/Portsmouth Avenue at 1:50 p.m.
- March 21: Route 4 leaving Princess Street/Victoria Street area at 2:20 p.m., arriving at Cataraqui Centre transfer point at 2:50 p.m.
KFL&A Public Health is unable to identify all riders on the route and is issuing a public notice to assist with contact tracing.
If you were on one of the routes listed above, KFL&A Public Health recommends:
- Get tested for COVID-19 immediately.
- Monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days after the date of your last exposure (April 4, 2021).
- Get tested again, 10 days after your exposure (March 31), even if you do not have symptoms.
- Self-isolate from others immediately and arrange for testing if symptoms of COVID-19 develop.
During the 14 days of isolation, monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and get tested if you develop symptoms.
If you are currently experiencing symptoms, self-isolate immediately, and seek an appointment for testing at the COVID-19 Community Assessment Centre.
