Kingston Transit Rider Confirmed Positive for COVID-19
Kingston— Today, Dr. Kieran Moore, Medical Officer of Health at KFL&A Public Health confirms a COVID-19 positive case travelled on multiple Kingston Transit bus routes.
- Thursday, April 15: Route 7 – Departing Compton Street/Wilson Street at 1:35 p.m., arriving at Cataraqui Centre transfer point at 2:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, April 21: Route 7 – Departing Compton Street/Wilson Street at 8:35 a.m., arriving Cataraqui Centre 9:00 a.m.
- Wednesday, April 21: Route 7 – Departing Cataraqui Centre transfer point at 3:30 p.m., arriving at Compton Street/Wilson Street at 3:55 p.m.
- Friday, April 23: Route 16 – Departing Kingston Centre transfer point at 12:00 p.m., arriving Compton Street/Wilson Street at 12:20 p.m.
- Saturday, April 24: Route 1 – Departing at Compton Street/Wilson Street at 12:20 p.m., arriving at St. Lawrence College at 1 p.m.
KFL&A Public Health is unable to identify all riders on these routes and is issuing a public notice to assist with contact tracing.
This is a low risk of exposure to the public; however, if you travelled on these routes during the listed dates above, monitor yourself for new or worsening signs and symptoms related to COVID-19 until May 8, 2021 (14 days after last possible exposure).
If you are currently experiencing symptoms, self-isolate immediately, and seek an appointment for testing at the COVID-19 Community Assessment Centre.
